Restauarant Review // Aubaine Dubai

Aubaine is complete for… Lunch with your best friends, french food and people watching

After opening in January in The Dubai Mall, the London-born French cafe Aubaine has already had enough success to warrant a second location, scheduled to open in City Walk early next month. The menu is filled with classic French cafe cuisine. The food is simple, but has an elegant, sophisticated finesse for which the French are so well known.

Downtown Dubai

10 AM to Midnight

The cafe is located next to Bloomingdale’s at the mall’s main entrance and has two separate seating areas, plus an outdoor terrace. People may find the people outside entering and exiting the mall to be quite unsettling, although it is typical of french restaurants to give their customers somewhere to sit and people watch.

What I loved:

The decor. I’m not a huge fan of French cuisine because I feel that most commonly known french dishes always inevitably contain animal products so I’d probably come back for a light lunch as their salads were interesting. However, the decor is probably the most endearing quality that I found in Aubaine.

What I wore:

White shorts and a White shirt with Tommy Hilfiger Boat Shoes.

BurrataBurrata –

Cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil & crostini

Superfood SaladQuinoa –

Roast butternut squash, beetroot, broccoli, mung beans, alfalfa, peas, pomegranate, mixed seed

Bill for two:

AED 200
