Two days ago Apple introduced the latest edition of the Apple Watch; Apple Watch Hermès – a new collection of the watch created in collaboration with the iconic luxury French fashion house. Although made exactly the same as the original watch, the new collection consists of the classic Hermès bracelet styles; the Single Tour, Double Tour and The Cuff. I’m currently obsessing over the latter.
As well as the calf leather straps, an etching of the Hermès logo is on every stainless steel case.
The pricing ranges from the 38 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour at $1,100 USD (£715) and increases to $1,500 USD (£980) for the Cuff including the 42mm stainless steel case. The collection will be available from select Apple stores and select Hermès stores from the 5th of October.
Apple’s chief designer, Jonathan Ive explained “Apple and Hermès make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design,”. “Both companies are motivated by a sincere pursuit of excellence and the desire to create something that is not compromised. Apple Watch Hermès is a true testament to that belief.”
